Lancome Renergie vs Visionnaire
Lancôme has a favorable reputation in the skincare world for a reason: their products work. So, if you’re looking to freeze your youth with the right anti-aging formulas, you really can’t go wrong with any of their lotions and potions.
But, for comparison’s sake, today we wanted to see how two of their serums would level up to one another. Rénergie H.C.F. Triple Serum and Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector Serum both pack a punch in their own ways, but only one can come out on top.

Lancome Renergie H.C.F. vs Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector
Rénergie H.C.F. is the first step of a three-step routine. It’s followed by the Rénergie Lift Multi-Action Ultra Day Cream (SPF 30) or the Rénergie Lift Multi-Action Night Cream, then finished off with the Rénergie Lift Multi-Action Ultra Eye Cream.
(Note: we’d recommend applying the eye cream after the serum, then layering the cream on top, FYI.)
Designed with separate chambers for hyaluronic (H) acid serum, Vitamin C (C) serum, niacinamide, and ferulic (F) acid serum, the H.C.F. serum has plumping and dark spot reducing superpowers that turn back the clock and brighten skin.
At a steep $140 per bottle, the 1,295 reviews and 4.4-star rating imply that it might be worth the investment after all.
If your skin concerns lean more towards texture and evenness, Visionnaire might be best for you.
It’s formulated with LR 2412, which is a molecule designed to penetrate throughout all the layers of the skin’s epidermis. (Though, we’re not exactly sure what LR 2412 consists of, ingredient-wise.)
Visionnaire claims to diminish the appearance of wrinkles, pores, and dullness. It’ll cost you $125 for a bottle, but with 1,225 reviews and a 4.6-star rating to boot, we think it would be money well-spent.
Before we reveal our choice, we want to take care of some housekeeping around addressing Lancôme’s business ethics.
In case you were wondering: According to Cruelty-Free Kitty, Lancôme isn’t cruelty-free. That said, they may test on animals either themselves or through a third party. (They also don’t market themselves as offering vegan-friendly options.)
However, regarding charitable initiatives, Lancôme funds their “Write Her Future” program, which partners with the NAACP to provide mentorship, workshops, and scholarships to young, college-bound women of color.
Sustainability-wise, they allow refilling and recycling of Lancôme products within their stores. They’re also in the process of committing to greener chemistry when formulating their products, including implementing regenerative agricultural practices, sustainable sourcing, and improving their packaging.
Now, back to the products. While Visionnaire has better ratings than H.C.F., we like the transparency of the latter option. Since we know Lancôme may test on animals and isn’t 100% vegan, we’re not entirely sure what to make of this mysterious LR 2412 molecular formula. Could it be derived from an animal in a seriously invasive or harmful way?
That said, we’ll take the Rénergie H.C.F. Triple Serum.
